Oppo A-Series Phone to Launch October 1, A55 4G Model Expected

0

Oppo has started teasing the arrival of a new A-series smartphone in India, with a dedicated page on the Amazon site as part of the teaser for its annual Great Indian Festival sale. Oppo has confirmed that the A-series smartphone will launch in India on October 1. In the past, it was reported that the Oppo A55 4G will launch in India in late September, and this A-series phone teaser could likely just be about the same phone. The Oppo A55 5G smartphone was unveiled in January this year and the Indian market is likely to get the 4G option. Oppo has teased camera specifications and colour options of the Oppo A55 4G option.

Amazon India has published a dedicated page on its website to tease the arrival of the Oppo A-series phone in the Indian market, as a part of the Festive Launches section of it’s Great Indian Festival teaser page. The teaser banner confirms that the Oppo A-series smartphone will launch on October 1 at 12pm (noon).

This also confirms its e-commerce availability when it launches. The teaser poster confirms that the upcoming phone will have a triple camera setup at the back with a 50-megapixel main camera. There will also be two additional 2-megapixel bokeh and macro lenses integrated at the back. The phone is also teased to come in two colour options – Rainbow Blue and Starry Black.

Previous reports suggest that the Oppo A55 4G model was likely to launch in late September, and this could be the same model that the company is teasing on Amazon. Of course, this is speculation and Oppo could well be launching a completely different A-series product on October 1.

If the company does unveil the Oppo A55 4G variant, it will be very different than the 5G model in China. For instance the Chinese 5G option has a triple rear camera setup at the back but it features a 13-megapixel main camera. Its back camera module design is also very different than what has been teased on Amazon. The teaser on Amazon also confirms that the upcoming A-series phone from Oppo will feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

NBC and YouTube TV could part ways if no agreement is reached this week | Pocketnow

0

YouTube TV and NBC are approaching the end of their deal which is set to expire on September 30. With the contract set to expire, a renewal should have been established between the two firms. However, Google is finding NBC’s rates higher, and is unwilling to pay, according to Variety. Google has also published a post on its YouTube TV blog saying that the two companies have not reached an agreement, and YouTube TV subscribers could lose access to NBC channels post September 30.

Google says NBC isn’t treating YouTube TV “like any other TV provider.” The company says it “seeks the same rates that services of a similar size get from NBCU so we can continue offering YouTube TV to members at a competitive and fair price.” The company also goes on to say that if the agreement isn’t reached with NBCU, the channels will be removed from YouTube TV and it will decrease the monthly price by $10, from $64.99 to $54.99.

“NBCU is an important partner for us and as you can imagine, this is not the outcome that we want. We’re still in active conversations with NBCU and are hopeful we can get past this impasse to keep their content available on YouTube TV.”

NBC has also started notifying YouTube TV subscribers that more than 14 of its networks could go dark on the streaming service in a matter of days. The company has even put up a dedicated website asking users to appeal for the same. If the deal does fall off, these are the channels that won’t be available on YouTube TV:

  • NBC broadcast affiliates (different local channels in different markets)
  • NBC regional sports networks
  • NBCSN
  • MSNBC
  • CNBC
  • Bravo
  • USA Network
  • E! (Entertainment)
  • Oxygen
  • SYFY Network
  • Telemundo
  • Universal Kids
  • Universo
  • Golf Channel

It remains to be seen what’s going to happen over the next few days. If the agreement is reached, YouTube TV will continue airing NBC channels. If the deal goes off, NBC channels will be dropped from YouTube TV making it the only major IPTV service to not air NBC. But at least the service will adjust the pricing accordingly.

Cryptocurrency Prices Rise Again After Chinese Crackdown Caused Dip

0

The cryptocurrency market has risen again and Bitcoin rallied strongly on Sunday after seeing a sharp drop in price on Friday and Saturday, following news of a crackdown on crypto in China. Over the weekend, many leading cryptocurrencies bounced back on Sunday, after spending most of Saturday in the doldrums, and on Monday, September 27 Bitcoin opened with a minor spike of 2.93 percent. The world’s most valued cryptocurrency is presently trading at Rs. 34,73,734 ($47,103). It was not the only cryptocurrency to see this kind of a bounce-back either, as confidence in the market returned.

Ether (ETH) cryptocurrency is trading at Rs. 2,47,293 (roughly $3,353) as we write this. Last Friday on September 24, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency also saw a drop, but the losses are being recouped by the 24-hour exchange value spike of 9.39 percent.

Given the fresh statistics, analysts feel this would be a positive week for crypto investors.

“The past 24 hours witnessed the total cryptocurrency market capitalisation going past the $1.96 trillion (Rs. 1,44,54,277 crores) mark. With this increase, the total traded volumes went more than 8.5 percent higher. It indicated that the outlook for the week is positive. Bitcoin’s dominance increased marginally and now stands over 42.5 percent,” Edul Patel, CEO and Co-founder of crypto-investment platform Mudrex told Gadgets 360.

As per the Gadgets 360 crypto-tracker, Ripple, Polkadot, Uniswap, and Litecoin are among other cryptocurrencies which rallied ahead in terms of exchange values.

On the other hand, Dogecoin, Tether, and Cardano – all of which witnessed hikes and dips in exchange rates last week, opened with minor drops today.

This week, cryptocurrencies are expected to witness some interesting fluctuations in the backdrop of China’s ban.

China has warned all crypto investors and traders that if found indulging in “illegal financial activities”, they will be treated as criminals, and will be prosecuted.

According to data from Bybt, a cryptocurrency trading and information platform, over $418 million (roughly Rs. 3,085 crores) were wiped off the market while more than $326 million (roughly Rs. 2,406 crores) were liquidated by 80,563 traders on September 25. The initial panic paved way for the market stability at the time.

Over 12,000 Crypto Tokens Are Operating in Market Now: Report

0

The pandemic hit the economy real hard but one thing that has witnessed an unparalleled boom during the same period is cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin, the world’s biggest cryptocurrency token, crossed the $60,000-mark (roughly Rs. 42 lakhs) in April 2021, while Dogecoin, which started as a meme, has also captured everyone’s imagination. However, there’s more to this story. A cursory glance at data reveals that it’s not just the value of cryptocurrencies but also their numbers that have seen massive growth.

According to a report on cryptopotato.com citing CoinMarketCap data, there are more than 12,000 crypto tokens in the market for cryptocurrency enthusiasts to choose from and invest in. Not to forget, the number of companies accepting crypto tokens as a mode of payment is also steadily, if not rapidly, increasing.

Speaking of the spike witnessed from September 2020 to September 2021, around 4,900 more cryptocurrencies are now available compared to last year. In September 2020, there were approximately 7,100 coins in the market. A year later, that number has risen to over 12,000. There are two primary reasons for such massive growth in not just the value but also the volume of cryptocurrencies.

The growing acceptance of crypto tokens among institutions and the Bitcoin boom were instrumental in driving people and other stakeholders towards the market that now has a total cap of over $2 trillion.

Among other reasons, experts see big names such as Tesla founder Elon Musk and Twitter boss Jack Dorsey’s endorsement of cryptocurrency as extremely crucial for instilling confidence.

The next question for many is whether the massive spike in the number of these tokens is a good thing. More tokens also correspond to a higher possibility of scams. Just last month, cryptocurrencies worth $22.2 million (roughly Rs. 165 crores) were seized by the UK police after a global fraud scheme was unearthed. The ones who fell prey to the scam were spread across the world.

Cryptopotato also reported that over $25 million (roughly Rs. 184 crores) were lost to crypto scams among Australians only in the first half of 2021.

Google’s next event is on October 5th, but Pixel 6 still not expected

0

With Apple’s iPhone 13, Samsung Galaxy S21, and the OnePlus 9 already out in the market, everyone’s attention has turned towards the Google Pixel 6 series. Google is reportedly hosting an event in October to announce the much-awaited Android device. XDA-Developers’ Mishaal Rahman was quick enough to spot a now-deleted CNET article that talked about Google’s next event being on October 5. However, the company has no plans of launching Pixel 6 on October 5 as the event will be focused on Nest, Travel, and Map products, according to Rahman.

According to the CNET article, Google will announce new smart speakers and security devices on October 5 and we might also get to hear about the changes coming to Google Maps and Google Flights. The news article makes it clear that Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are not on the October 5 event’s agenda.

Interestingly, Rahman has also spotted a snipped of code that suggests that Google Pixel 6 will go on sale on October 27th. A Google Camera code change has suggested the sale date. He says that “A 10/19 launch followed by a 10/27 release seems plausible.”

Up until now, pretty much everything about the Google Pixel 6 series has leaked. The smartphone’s camera specsbenchmarkCPU configurationvariable refresh ratewireless charging speed, and even the fabric cases have all appeared. Even a hands-on video has surfaced on the web. It’s only a matter of days before Google officially launches the much-awaited Pixel 6 series. Are you looking to picking up Google Pixel 6 this fall? What are your expectations from the product? Let us know in the comments section below!

Photo: Google.

Sign in पर दिखेगा Error
